Isla Fisher has a new mindset when it comes to marriage after her divorce from ex-husband Sacha Baron Cohen. Just a month after finalizing their divorce, Fisher took to Instagram to share a brutal quote about marriage.
Earlier this week, Fisher posted a quote card to her Instagram Story that read, “For all those men who say, ‘Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?’ Here’s an update for you.”

“Nowadays, 80% of women are against marriage. Why? Because women realize it’s not worth buying an entire pig, just to get a little sausage.”

The former couple officially finalized their divorce last month after initially filing in 2023. They made the announcement with a joint statement shared to their social media accounts that read, “We are proud of all we’ve achieved together and, continuing our great respect for each other, we remain friends and committed to co-parenting our wonderful children.”

Fisher and Cohen announced their split in April of 2024. “After a long tennis match lasting over twenty years, we are finally putting our racquets down. In 2023 we jointly filed to end our marriage,” their announcement read. “We have always prioritized our privacy, and have been quietly working through this change. We forever share in our devotion and love for our children. We sincerely appreciate your respecting our family’s wish for privacy.”
The duo tied the knot in 2010 after first meeting in 2001 and getting engaged in 2004. They also share three children: two daughters, Olive and Elula, and son, Montgomery.
