Leave it to Buffy to revive one of the most recognizable hairstyles of the 2000s. On Thursday, Sarah Michelle Gellar stepped out wearing the deepest Millennial side part at the Las Culturistas Culture Awards in Los Angeles.
Gellar paired the controversial hairstyle with a strapless red leather mididress, a black satin envelope clutch by Tyler Ellis, and Christian Louboutin pumps. Diamond-encrusted jewelry, including a tennis bracelet and rings, completed her look.

Gellar was assisted by stylist Tara Swennen, who also counts Allison Janney and Ali Wong as clients.
The actress’s blonde tresses were styled in waves, while her makeup consisted of taupe eyeshadow, black eyeliner, and a mauve pout.

Side parts, a popular Y2K-era hairdo, are back with a vengeance in the 2020s. Stars ranging from Scarlett Johansson to Jessica Alba have pulled off the style in recent months, despite Gen Z knocking it as Millennial-coded on TikTok.
Gellar reunited with her Buffy the Vampire Slayer co-star Alyson Hannigan for a good cause back in May. The pair collaborated on GSK’s “Ask2BSure” campaign to raise awareness about meningitis and they spoke on both Today and SiriusXM.
“As a new parent, there’s so much information and you try to keep track,” Gellar said on Today in a May 9 interview. “I think sometimes you’re intimidated. We all know that knowledge is power, but sometimes it’s hard to ask the questions. To be honest, I learned a lot about this from Alyson.”
Hannigan chimed in, praising her former co-star. “Which is so rare because she’s usually the one I go to. She knows everything,” she said.
