Alo Yoga Airlift Line Up Bra Review

Over the last seven months, I’ve managed to maintain my New Year’s resolution to work out several times a week, more or less. I’ve tried out new pilates classes and upgraded my gym membership, so naturally, with a newfound appreciation for fitness as self-care, I’ve begun to consider activewear in a completely different light. 

Instead of throwing on decade-old leggings before picking up a weight (true story), I’ve decided to revamp my athletic wardrobe to be strictly based on comfort and quality support. Plus, as a New York City-slicker, every sidewalk is basically a runway, so any gear with cool-girl style appeal is a bonus. 

Naturally, this mindset led me straight to Alo Yoga, the go-to brand of icons like Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Katie Holmes, and Jennifer Lopez However, I’ve been specifically in the market for a sleek, barely-there top that I could rely on for security and support, so when I spotted Kylie Jenner—who recently shared her breast augmentation deets— sporting the Airlift Line Up Bra on more than one occasion, I had to try it for myself while it was finally back in stock.

What initially caught my eye about Jenner’s bra is that it’s designed similarly to my all-time favorite bralette styles. It has a thick, flexible band with a classic hook-and-eye closure, as well as slim, adjustable straps that allow leeway to find your best snug support. The difference between this style and my everyday bra rotation, however, is that the Airlift fabric is surprisingly well-structured while still being thin. Despite the plunging neckline, my bust felt very secure, even through intensive cardio that would otherwise lead to distracting movement and spillage.

Not only is the Airlift fabric also sweat-wicking and (thankfully) breathable in the summer heat, it’s also smoothing, lifting, and shaping. The bra is so flattering and reliably comfortable that I’ve been wearing it under my daytime tees and dresses on rest days, sideswiping underwire bras and even my comfiest bralettes. It features removable cups, too, which are so seamless that I didn’t detect them until my third wear. Even in sweaty yoga classes, the band and straps didn’t dig, slip, or roll off my skin. 

Jenner and I aren’t the only ones reaching for the Airlift Line Up Bra again and again. Several shoppers agree it fits like a “second skin,” with a “flattering but functional fit” that never needs to be adjusted during a workout class. One fan added that the “medium support is perfect for low-impact workouts like yoga, pilates, or stretching sessions,” while another said the bra kept them comfy while running 21 kilometers up a mountain.
