Zayn Malik was in girl-dad mode on Sunday as he gave his fans a very rare glimpse of his father-daughter weekend with Khai. The former One Direction boy bander—who shares the 4-year-old with his ex Gigi Hadid—tends to keep his daughter off his social media. However, the proud dad broke with tradition as he shared a sweet photo of him and Khai hanging out at a Blackpink concert.
Posting an Instagram Story on his account on July 27, the “Dusk Till Dawn” singer could be seen from behind with one hand in the air, watching the Korean pop group perform as he held the toddler in his arms. While Khai’s face was hidden from sight, she could be seen sporting a long-sleeved sweater and a long blonde braid—a nod to her model mom’s own golden locks. Malik thanked Blackpink for the tickets in the caption, writing “Me & Khai loved it” as he shared the intimate moment with his 53.3 million Instagram followers.

The British musician’s photos of Khai are few and far between, but Hadid previously opened up about how she and Malik—whom she dated on and off from 2015 to 2021—co-parent their daughter together with “love.” In a Vogue interview published in April, the Guest-in-Residence designer shared, “Zayn and I do our custody schedules months in advance. That doesn’t mean that it doesn’t change here and there, but we help each other out and have each other’s backs.”

While Hadid is now seriously dating Bradley Cooper, she opened up about how her and Malik’s relationship has evolved for the better into a dynamic of “love and a feeling of camaraderie.” Revealing that her daughter already takes after her ex’s “innate musicality,” Hadid explained, “What we are interested in is raising our daughter together, with so much respect for each other, and not just as co-parents, but what we’ve been through together.”
