Liam Neeson Talks About Filming Sex Scene with Pamela Anderson

• Liam Neeson opened up to Stephen Colbert about the awkward experience of shooting a sex scene with Pamela Anderson for their shared film, The Naked Gun, which comes out August 1.
• Neeson said on The Late Show that shooting the scene was the first time he’d ever used an intimacy coordinator.
• The veteran actor called the new experience “a little bit strange.”

For his role in The Naked Gun, Liam Neeson had to work with an intimacy coordinator for the first time ahead of a sex scene he was filming with Pamela Anderson, who he’s rumored to be dating.

The actor told Stephen Colbert on the talk show host’s The Late Show that, when it came to the sex scene, “There’s a threesome” (per Page Six).

“And one of the participants is very cold,” Neeson joked, calling the experience “a little bit strange.”

After Colbert responded with, “Telling you how to do it?” Neeson replied, “Pamela and I knew…”—which got laughter from the audience. “That had to be specifically choreographed,” Neeson added.

News broke this week that Neeson and Anderson are reportedly romantically linked after meeting for the first time on The Naked Gun set; Neeson had glowing remarks to say about her to Colbert, telling the host, “She’s great. She’s terrific.”

The two have been very PDA-friendly while on their press run for the film, and Neeson said on Today that after meeting, “we discovered we had a lovely budding chemistry as two actors.”

A source speaking to People said that Neeson and Anderson’s romance is “in the early stages” and that they’re “enjoying each other’s company”: “It’s sincere, and it’s clear they’re smitten with each other,” according to the insider. 

As far back as October, Neeson said he was “madly in love” with Anderson, saying, “I can’t compliment her enough, I’ll be honest with you. No huge ego. She just comes in to do the work. She’s funny and so easy to work with.”

Anderson had similarly rave reviews of Neeson, telling Entertainment Weekly, “I think I have a friend forever in Liam, and we definitely have a connection that is very sincere, very loving, and he’s a good guy.” 

For her part, Anderson appeared on Late Night with Seth Meyers on July 30 and said that she’s only seen The Naked Gun—which comes out August 1—one time, “with Liam, in an empty theater,” she said.

“It’s hard to watch yourself, even [for] Liam,” she added. “It’s hard to be objective, I guess, but you play it straight. Otherwise it wouldn’t be funny.”
