Fall and winter are brimming with an abundance of snug spoiling, but few pieces are quite as indulgent as an extremely soft sweater. The time and temperature has come to burrow ourselves into our cold weather must-haves, and the best knitwear brands are here to keep us warm, and stylish. Of course, sweaters are a year-round wardrobe staple to invest in (think of lightweight Mariner stripes or loosely woven jumpers), but fall and winter’s crisp chill brings forth the most luxuriously spun styles, from cashmere to mohair blends, and crewneck to turtleneck silhouettes.

Linnea Lund is one of our favorite places to find holiday gifts for loved ones—their offerings span women, men, babies, and kids. Each piece, from knits to gloves and hats, are made the old-fashioned way on manual knitting machines, with a foot pedal. We’re particularly fond of the Fair Isle sweaters crafted in unique color combinations, like baby blue and camel, or or pale grey and butter yellow.
