Jennifer Aniston’s haircuts have been making headlines since the ’90s—and for good reason. Not long after her 1994 breakout on Friends, “The Rachel”—a layered, voluminous lob inspired by and named after Aniston’s character, Rachel Green—became one of the most highly requested haircuts of all time.
Last night, Aniston stepped out at the premiere of The Morning Show with a 2025 twist on the classic cut. Luckily for us, it’s even more attainable than the original. The 56-year-old actor is currently wearing long, tapered layers in a low-maintenance caramel-bronde tone. Her defined, face-framing layers begin at her jawline, and cascade down past her collarbone.

The cut has the same flattering shape and movement that make The Rachel so enviable, but also incorporates some contemporary elements. The original ’90s cut relied heavily on root volume—a look that’s notoriously difficult to achieve and maintain, especially on fine hair. Aniston’s new haircut incorporates more length and less volume, features a sleek root base, and focuses on the feathery, flicked ends of the original cut.
