Of course, when you’re wearing such a sheer garment, your choice of underthings is as much of a styling statement as a pair of shoes or jewelry. Johnson and her stylist, Kate Young, paired the lace gown with a black satin balconette bra and matching underwear. Where some of her more naked looks can read as bohemian, there was no doubt that the effect she was going for here was pure sex appeal.

To finish off the look, Johnson wore a bombshell-esque updo reminiscent of the Pamela (but accommodating her signature blunt bangs), an uncharacteristic smoky eye, and a nude lip. The effect is very MAC Cosmetics ad circa 2009 (complimentary).
