Your favorite sapphic murder show has officially been renewed. You know we’re talking about The Hunting Wives. (Warning, season one spoilers ahead.)
That’s right, the campy series based on May Cobb’s best-selling novel is heading into season two, according to a Netflix press release. “I’m so excited to write these amazing characters again, and I can’t wait to take the audience on another sexy, twisted, batshit crazy ride through Maple Brook,” showrunner Rebecca Cutter said in a statement on September 12.
Netflix also shared the news with a dramatic Instagram Reel starring the show’s leading ladies, Brittany Snow and Malin Ackerman—and you really have watch it for yourselves. “Pack your boots and load your guns. We’re going back to Maple Brook for season two, baby,” Ackerman says after Snow promising to give up her “dignity” and “morals” for a chance to see her co-star again.

When will The Hunting Wives season 2 premiere?
No official date has been announced, though we’re hoping for a Summer 2026 release, given that the first season premiered on July 21. Netflix promises the show is “coming soon,” so hopefully they’ll keep their word.
What will season 2 be about?
At the end of the first season, Sophie killed Margo’s brother in self-defense after discovering her lover was Abby’s killer all along (more details on that over here). Clearly, season two is going to deal with the fallout of all that—but they may have to kiss and make up sooner than you’d think. Here’s the official season two logline, per Netflix:
