Another frenetic New York Fashion Week has come and gone—and boy, was it a fruitful season. I watched live as Tory Burch’s new It bag turned heads on its walk down the runway and saw all seven of my fall shoe trends predictions come true (the NYFW street style set can never resist a trendy sneaker). Now that it’s over, and my adrenaline levels are back to normal, I’m sharing the fall 2025 trends I saw in action to guide your new-season shopping—starting with Nordstrom’s Fall Sale, which is filled with everything I saw during NYC’s recent fashion Olympics.

Here’s a brief rundown on what you can expect. There are under-$100 fashion finds that look just like the four-figure designer items my fellow runway guests carried all week. Given how much the fashion set adores Coach’s bags (speaking of: did you see Coach’s new, already-viral Kisslock Barrel bag?), I’m including its under-$300 best-selling crossbody and leather tote that fashion editors swear by (it fits our bulky laptops with room to spare!). Plus, the fall 2025 denim trends and best boots that were NYFW street style standouts.

Nordstrom’s sale runs from now to September 23, so time’s already ticking. Keep scrolling to discover my NYFW-approved recommendations worth adding to your wardrobe.

    COACH

North Pebbled Leather Tote (Was $395)

What’s not to love about Coach’s hard-working work bag? This pebbled leather tote is timeless, uncomplicated, and reflects the level of quality we’ve come to expect from the reliable leather goods brand.

    SARTO by Franco Sarto

Genevieve Knee High Boots (Were $270)

Similar to their outerwear, NYFW guests were ready to slip into their favorite fall boots. Anything rendered in brown suede and in a knee-high silhouette was an easy shoo-in.

    Lauren Ralph Lauren

Longline Wool Blend Reefer Coat (Was $330)

Even though the temperatures didn’t quite call for it yet, the fashion set was eager to break out their best fall jackets. Sillhouettes varied, from track jackets to classic trench coats, but most came in the rich chocolate brown seen in Lauren Ralph Lauren’s single-breasted top coat.

    Free People

We the Free Palmer Cuffed Baggy Jeans (Were $128)

    Sam Edelman

    Kallen Sneakers (Were $95)

Not only are suede sneakers the number one sneaker trend running through the fashion circuit at the moment, but warm mustard yellow also happens to be a key fall 2025 color.

    Madewell

    Stripe Knit Polo (Was $62)

Mark my words: We’re about to see an indomitable polo shirt trend take off in the coming months.

    Sam Edelman

    Barrett Harness Booties (Were $190)

    AllSaints

Vela Leather Biker Jacket (Was $499)

There will never be a NYFW without a leather jacket. The edgy outerwear is a genuine wardrobe staple for a reason.

    adidas

    Taekwondo Sneakers (Were $90)

    Free People

Sydney Boxy Crop Cardigan (Was $98)

While quirky, colorful sweater trends are undoubtedly on the rise, I saw a lot of quiet luxury-coded knitwear this past week.

    Linea Paolo

    Mila Ballerina Flats (Were $130)

Small but mighty, a neutral, no-frills black ballet flat is a wardrobe workhorse.

    Free People

Buckle Belt Cotton Wide Leg Pants (Were $148)

The wider the leg, the happier a fashion girl will be in 2025.

    PAIGE

Anessa High Waist Wide Leg Jeans (Were $249)

Ditto the above, only double the happiness when the pant is done in denim.

    Nine West

Maribu Pointed Toe Booties (Were $149)

Fashion girls are suckers for fall suede, and I’m right there with them.

    Avec Les Filles

Oversize Double Breasted Peacoat (Was $158)

A plaid trend has been in the works since the summer, and September fashion week was the perfect chance for fashion folks to prance around in their best checks.

    AllSaints

    Asha Shoulder Bag (Was $299)

    Caslon

Utility Cotton Trench Coat (Was $119)

If you were to merge the barn jacket trend with a classic trench, Calson’s utility coat is what you’d get.

    Free People

Elodie Lace Trim Ruffle Hem Shirt (Was $128)

    Theory

Cable Stitch Sleeveless Wool Blend Sweater Midi Dress (Was $425)

Another forever staple: the little black dress. This one from Theory is a smart investment that’ll adapt for the office, formal-ish cocktail hours, and off-duty Saturday when you want easy sophistication.

    Naturalizer

Penny Loafer Platform Pumps (Were $148)

This block-heeled chunky loafer will serve you well this season and for years to come.

    Marc Jacobs

The Dual Mini Crescent Leather Shoulder Bag ($395)

Any fashion girl worth their salt reveres Marc Jacobs. In fact, I carried this sweet crescent shoulder bag all week long.
