Before getting to the serum specifics, for those who are unfamiliar with the brand, Leonor Greyl is a staple in French pharmacies (and my personal go-to shampoo whenever I’m in Paris). Falling a bit more on the luxury side than your typical drugstore beauty brand, Leonor Greyl has prioritized using botanical ingredients to improve the health of the hair and soothe sensitive scalps since its launch in 1968.
In keeping with the brand’s ethos, Leonor Greyl’s Serum Énergisant is a vegan and cruelty-free formula that comprises 99% natural ingredients, and perhaps more importantly, is made without common irritants and ingredients (like silicones, phthalates, parabens, and alcohols) that can secretly contribute to dryness and scalp buildup. Primarily created to reduce hair thinning by restoring the health of the scalp, the serum’s hero ingredients include organic rosemary extract, organic Indian gooseberry, and organic maca extract.
