Instead of leaning into expected summer dresses, stylish A-listers embraced a sense of edginess on the red carpets these past few days—choosing designs that turned heads thanks to their mini hemlines, shimmering metallics, and unexpected embellishments.
At the premiere of the second season of Wednesday in New York, for one, Jenna Ortega went vampy and gothic (but glamour goth!) in a silky black Ann Demeulemeester top and skirt with leather paneling. Julia Garner matched the moody vibe in her sleeveless AO Yes top for a recent Andy Cohen taping, punctuated with ribboned flower appliqués all over it.
