When you say your products are organic, what does that mean?
COOLA uses as many plant-based and organic ingredients as possible in our formulas. To see which ingredients are organic, reference the ingredient list.
Will this clog my pores?
All COOLA’s face formulas are formulated to be non-comedogenic, meaning they will not clog your pores. We’re selective about our good-for-you ingredients, and all COOLA products are formulated with sensitive skin in mind and are dermatologist tested.
How much do I use?
Studies show that most people only apply 25-50% of the recommended amount of sunscreen. We want to make sure your skin is well-protected—when applying this product use 1/3 of a teaspoon.
Does this have allergens?
Every COOLA formula is tested for HRIPT (Human Repeated Insult Patch Testing). This can help determine any potential irritation or sensitization issues, minimizing the potential reactions for the consumer. All our products are Soy-Free and Nut-Free.
How often should I reapply my sunscreen?
Reapply sunscreen at least after every 2 hours of sun exposure. If you’re swimming or sweating, reapply after the water-resistant time (40-80 minutes). Don’t forget to reapply after towel drying for the best protection!

As someone with mature, dry skin, I’m always cautious about products that promise a matte finish — especially sunscreens or primers. Many end up clinging to fine lines, emphasizing texture, or leaving my skin feeling tight. This formula stands out because it manages to deliver sun protection and a smoothing effect without drying out the skin.The texture is lightweight and silky, almost like a soft-focus primer rather than a traditional sunscreen. It glides on easily, blends in quickly, and doesn’t leave a white cast or greasy residue. Instead of flattening the skin, it gently blurs pores and softens the look of fine lines while still allowing my natural skin texture to show through. The finish is matte but comfortable — not chalky or dehydrated.Under makeup, it performs especially well. Foundation applies smoothly over it and tends to last longer throughout the day without breaking apart or settling into lines. I’ve noticed improved wear time in warmer weather, and my T-zone stays more balanced without becoming overly shiny. It also works well with lighter skin tints or fuller-coverage foundations alike.Despite the matte effect, it doesn’t strip moisture or create that tight feeling many high-SPF formulas can cause. COOLA SunBlur Makeup Primer with SPF 50
I have tried many makeup primers from budget brands to the higher end brands. The problem is that everyone of them has caused my sensitive rosacea prone skin to break out. My skin is also sensitive to many sunscreens. I approached this product with expectation that it would be another disappointing product. However, it ended up being the only primer that I have ever tried that has not adversely affected my skin. I have used it almost every day for the past two weeks. It feels like a very fine and light oil going on. It provides longer wear and smoother appearance of my powder based foundation and blush. I have not had an opportunity to test it out in the sun, but my hopes are high. I use sunscreen every day and I like the idea that SPF50 is one of the features of this primer. The price is a little high at $32 for ounce at the time of this review, but I like the product and am likely to continue using it.

Lightweight, silky and super nice
I really like the way this spf feels on the face. It feels like it has silicone in it. I know some people don’t prefer that, but I actually like it quite a bit. It feels very lightweight and silky on the skin. I unfortunately threw out the box with the ingredients list, and the product page doesn’t list the ingredients, so I don’t know for sure that it is silicone that i am feeling. I really wish ingredients were listed on the product page more often than they are so that we are more informed about a product before making a purchase.I don’t wear makeup, but I do wear tinted moisturizer. I blend this matte sunscreen with just a bit of my tinted glowy sunscreen. The combination of the two gives me a subtle glow, and I do think the blur does help me to still maintain a foundation-free face, but sort of eases the harshness of the spots and other imperfections of the skin. It feels like it does have some hydrating qualities, and I have been skipping my daytime moisturizer and my skin continues to feel hydrated. The only downside is that the bottle is small, only one ounce, and it will not last long. I use one pump with my other spf, like I said, and it is stretching it out further.
