Amazing mask, but peel gently!!
I was looking for a way to clear out my clogged pores, and this blackhead-removing mask definitely does that. It comes with a silicone spatula, which really helps with application, especially as this mask is quite thick and goopy. Using the spatula makes it much easier to get an even, mess-free layer across the T-zone without getting the thick mask stuck to your hands or under your fingernails.The mask feels very cooling when applied, which is nice. It smells so fresh and clean, which I absolutely love. Once the mask fully dries and you begin the peeling process, you can visibly see the gunk that is pulled from the skin. It’s satisfying and gross at the same time. After use the skin feels extremely smooth, and weirdly tight, which is an odd sensation.This mask has a very strong grip. It pulls at the skin quite hard during removal. If you have sensitive skin, you’ll want to be extra cautious. I recommend avoiding the more delicate areas of your face and sticking strictly to the nose, chin, and middle of the forehead. Even then, peel gently!!! There is definitely a strong tugging sensation, so be prepared.It is a little difficult to peel if you don’t apply a thick enough layer. There’s definitely a fine line, because for optimal results, you don’t want to apply too much, or too little. I think the trick is to keep a thicker layer at the edge, so that there’s something to grip when the time comes to peel.The l set also comes with a tea tree serum that is advertised to tighten pores and restore skin after using the mask. This has quite a strong scent. This is obviously to be expected with tea tree, but to me it’s a little overwhelming.I was worried the tea tree oil would be a little too harsh after already irritating the skin a little with the peeling mask, but I was pleasantly surprised. I do suffer from redness naturally, so I do use both products sparingly.The price for the set is incredibly affordable, especially as you receive three items, and the mask and oil are both full sized. Other than the harsh “pulling” of the mask, there aren’t very many cons to this set. I have been very happy with this set.

This black mask is actually black. My husband was a little surprised when he suddenly saw my face covered in deep black goo. It was kind of a funny moment, to be honest. The set comes with a tube of black mask, a small bottle of tea tree pore tightener, and a spatula for applying the mask if you like (fingers may work better). The tube is a full size tube and should last a long time. I spread the mask on mainly in my nasal area, as that is where I get blackheads. After letting the mask dry, I started the peeling process. It was a little difficult to get a grip on the edges, so be sure to leave thick edges that will pull up more easily.Once I got the mask to pull up and pull out all those nasty blackheads, it was a very strong pull and pulled some of the delicate skin on my nose off in a couple of places. You can see the red marks in my photo. Note that I have freckles; the brown blotches are freckles but the red blotches are sore skin. So, the lesson is, be careful using this mask if you have sensitive skin or in areas where your skin might be thinner. The oil that comes with this set was soothing to those areas; I will definitely use both products again but will be more careful with the thin skin on my nose. I’ll admit that even with the sore red patches, it was still very satisfying to see all those gross blackheads stuck to the mask. I suppose that’s where the black color is helpful — the little globs of sebum stand out against it so you can see the results. It is a great feeling knowing those gross globs are gone from my skin.Overall, a great mask with strong pulling power to help you get rid of lots of blackheads. Just be careful in areas where your skin is thinner or delicate.

Great treatment set
If you’re a person that loves peeling, you’re going to love this mask! Has the sole purpose to go deep and to pull out impurities out of your pores and surface so of course it may hurt mildly if you have sensitive skin but the act of peeling it is very satisfying. The face is known to have peach fuzz and hair which is an obvious that it might get pulled and as in waxing it could hurt. So to combat this you can do 2 things. The first being taking a shaver to those areas or waxing before using this mask. Or you could apply it only to your problem areas. It is obvious as well applying close to the hairline and eye brows that this will also hurt. The tool it comes with works great for applying to the face, not too many people want sticky fingers. However I would recommend using a finger to apply to the areas around the eye brows and hairline. Your hands should be clean, that is a given. I use a q tip to etch out the areas around the eyebrows and hairline. If you have long hair, use a hair tye and headband is a must this mask is sticky and easy to get in your hair. It does take more time to dry than suggested on the bottle however this is not an issue to me as all good things take time.The oil it comes with is also great to use after. I would also recommend a light moisturizer after if your skin feels dry. I would recommend the use of this mask at most 1 time per week for those with dry skin and 3 times for those with oily skin. Overall this mask does its job as well as the oil it’s just a matter of getting used to it, doing it right, and how you use it based on your personal skin predicament. I will be buying it again and recommend it.
