Gentle Enough For Sensitive Skin. Like a Clarifying Shampoo For My Pores.
I have to be super careful with acids. I really only like to use very gentle products, and I don’t need to use them every day. But at certain times of my cycle, or in certain areas of my face, if I can get a great, gentle exfoliator, it’s fantastic to smooth my skin and keep my skin clear.This is a great, gentle exfoliator with really mild acids.I use this on the parts of my face that actually need help, which for me is mostly my nose and my forehead. I don’t need this serum as an everyday thing. It’s more like the clarifying shampoo I keep around for a weekly resets. When I want a gentle sweep so gunk don’t build up, this does that one job really well, and I don’t get totally red the morning after either.The texture is light, and I like that this stays where I put it. I only use this at night and I always layer it with care because my barrier needs a lot of attention. I put a calming (Cica) layer under it and a ceramide layer over it. With that routine, I don’t wake up red, and I look clearer.I love this this uses mandelic acid, which is a super gentle exfoliator and much better for my skin versus just salicylic acid or AHA, which are the backbone of so many of these exfoliating serums.For sensitive skin or sort of dry skin, this might be fine, but if it’s not, layering a calming serum under might be the extra buffer needed. This doesn’t contain enough soothing for me in winter when my skin is dry. When I tried this without a Cica hydration layer under it, I did get a little red and my pores looked a little inflamed. Once I buffered this with a calming layer under, it was perfect even in winter. But if your barrier is in good shape, this might be totally fine, because it does contain some soothing elements.But, even with the buffering, what I appreciate is how mild this is. It’s hard to find something that clears without leaving me totally tight or irritated. This doesn’t try to be a full routine. It just gives me a soft, effective exfoliation that keeps my nose from getting congested. I avoid silicones on top of this, and just use a good ceramide hydrating cream on top and I wake up much clearer.It think for light pore maintenance, smoother skin, or for only treating certain areas, this is a good gentle product to have.

Free of ickies, formulated to perform while being gentle
Normally when I see multiple acids combined in a leave on product, I get nervous that I’ll burn my face off. No need to deal with this one! Yes, this is a multi-acid exfoliating serum that combined salicylic acid (BHA) for pore clearing with mandelic and lactic acid for gentle surface exfoliation. That combination actually is perfect for making this serum sit at a nice middle ground position—its gentle, but still effective for congestion and texture. I love that combo since I have sensitive, congestion prone skin. This is a really great fit for me to use 1/week. I use prescription aza gel nightly, so I limit the use of this serum to 1/week since the aza already increases cell turnover and I don’t want to overdo it but still like a weekly supportive congestion control product in my routine.I love that this also has glycerin, hydroxyethyl urea, and sodium PCA to moisturize, plus a bit of oat extract for soothing. It’s lightweight, water-based, and layers easily without feeling sticky or heavy. Lovely!It takes time to see results, but I’m hopefully this will help keep my pores more clear, smooth rough texture, and reduce buildup that leads to clogged pores. It can be used in congestion prone areas like my tzone or as an overall face product.At $18 for 1 oz, the value is really solid—this is a thoughtfully formulated, no-frills exfoliant without unnecessary extras, fragrance, essential oils or other irritants or ickies. You don’t need a lot and depending on your usage frequency, 1oz really can last quite awhile. I recommend it!!!

So far no irritation
I was cautious going in since my skin does not usually tolerate exfoliating products well, but this serum felt surprisingly approachable from the start. It has a lightweight feel and sinks in quickly without leaving any stickiness, which made it easy to add into my routine.I started slowly with once a week and paid close attention to how my skin reacted. So far I have not experienced irritation, which is a big plus for me. I also make sure to use sunscreen during the day since I know exfoliating acids can make skin more sensitive. After a few uses, my skin tone already looks a bit more even and smoother, though I think it is still too early to say much about dark spots.Overall, this seems like a good option if you want gentle exfoliation and have sensitive or reactive skin. It feels balanced rather than harsh, and I like that it lets me ease in at my own pace. I would recommend it to anyone looking for gradual improvement in texture and brightness without pushing their skin too far too fast.

Lightweight serum
This serum is nice overall. I do not really see the pore “clearing” aspect yet but it does leave my skin feeling soft and plump. It is easy to use. After washing my face, I pat dry my face, and then apply this serum. It is nice and lightweight. It feels slightly tacky but overall, not uncomfortable at all. I think this serum is not irritating in the slightest and it feels nice, and pretty hydrating. I think it is a good deal with how my face feels soft and calm.I will say it could probably be a better value if a little went a long way or a decent amount, but to get good coverage you have to use like 3 pumps to get the whole face if not more.
