Great brand and product
I’ve been really happy with this serum overall. It’s become a steady part of my routine because it feels lightweight but still effective without irritating my skin.The texture absorbs quickly and layers well under other products without leaving any sticky or greasy residue. I’ve noticed my skin stays a bit more balanced throughout the day with less excess oil, and my overall texture looks smoother with continued use. Seems to be working well for my oily/combo skin
I’ve been using this particular serum for about 2 weeks now, and I am fairly happy with the results. My normal skin care routine got shook up when they discontinued one of my primary serums, and I have been trying to achieve the same effect I got from it but not having much success. This has at least helped me make a step in the right direction.I’ve tried many of BFFECTs products before, their serums are always decent quality for the price point. This one in particular I chose because of the pore minimizing factor; I have combination skin that leans oily in the t-zone. Because of that, there’s a lot of texture issues and scars from cystic acne battles over the years. I cannot use a regular moisturizer on my face without breaking out, the only thing I can use is serums or gel-based moisturizers. My last serum kind of was a two-in-one and I loved that about it, this serum is definitely not. I definitely noticed after about 10 minutes my skin felt tight and dry again in a lot of areas, and I would have to use a gel moisturizer over this.That said, after about 2 weeks I have noticed a slight difference in skin texture appearing tighter and pores looking slightly smaller. Most likely placebo effect, but I do think my skin has had a very good two weeks – no major breakouts, no irritation, and I have noticed that I’m less oily at the end of the day. If using a gel-based moisturizer on top of this means that I’ll have clear skin, I’m okay with that. Just be aware that if you are looking for something heavier on the moisturizing front, this might not be it. For people who have oily skin like me, this could be your holy Grail though. Would absolutely recommend if your skin care issues sounds similar to mine.

Two Must Have Serums for Soothing & Refining Skin
I am a big fan of the BFFECT line and have been lucky enough to try both their 005-B Niacinamide 5% Pore Refining Serum (Pore Minimizer) and their K-X Calmer Intense Soothing Serum (Barrier Repair). My skin is combination, leaning oily, occasionally sensitive, and slightly mature, so I need products that manage oil while still providing intense soothing and anti-aging benefits. These serums deliver on all fronts. What’s great is that they both feature a fantastic pump bottle to dispense the serum which makes application easy, less messy and keeps the ingredients stable.Pore Minimizer (Niacinamide 5% Pore Refining Serum): This serum is the perfect base layer for the day. Its texture really shines (not literally). It comes out like a typical serum but absorbs into the skin almost like water which is wonderful. It does not leave any sticky or tacky residue which is essential for me. It works nicely for day use under my makeup and acts as a great, smooth primer base living up to its Pore Refining name.The Niacinamide in this formula works hard. In the short time I have been using it, my excess oil issue has reduced which is a huge benefit. I’ve also noticed a slight improvement in my pore size. The serum is truly fragrance-free which is essential for sensitive skin. This is definitely better for day use because of the oil control and smooth base it creates under makeup.Barrier Repair (K-X Calmer Intense Soothing Serum): This is my hero product for winding down and managing skin stress. The ingredients list, featuring Madecassoside, Squalane, Allantoin and Aloe are excellent for calming. It almost immediately settles any reactivity or redness and is fantastic for calming my face down after I’ve used strong actives. I love using it in the evening right after my red light therapy mask session.After a week of use, my skin barrier feels stronger and more resilient and it has been great for post-treatment acne. It provides a perfect balance of moisture without feeling heavy or oily leaving my face feeling nice and smooth.Overall Recommendation:The initial impressions are very positive for both of these serums. They meet their claims for balancing oil, being non-sticky, and providing genuine soothing relief. I will absolutely repurchase both of these once I run out.

Good for oily combo skin

Great value
Great serum. Perfect not only for acne but even the whole face which would prevent and contain. It is extremely light weight leaves my skin feeling very soft. The texts is a perfect mixture of what I call more water base lotions but does not leave oily residue. Feels like it moisturizes my face and has no scents or hard perfumes. Gentle on skin. Great value

This works at described. Goes on easy and not greasy. No smell and reasonably priced. I had some red spots that I used it on, and they eased the pain and faded soon after.
