LOVE!
I love this. Took me a while to sort of get the hang of using it and it took a while for results to be visible (about a week to REALLY see the difference it was making – and it was noticeable!), but I grew to love it. Face feels exfoliated, so much softer and plumper, complexion has cleared up and it’s now a favoriteSuper cute packaging too! This is a cleanser/exfoliator I would get again in a heartbeat for sure

Not for me
Not what I expected. I purchased this thinking it was similar to powdered rice cleansers that turn into foam when you add water. It is not–there is no lightness, it doesn’t dissolve, it’s a more mechanical exfoliation, like those ground walnut shell/peach pit cleansers, but with less ability to move around my face. I’ll probably hang on to it, as the oatmeal in it might help with bug bites.

I like this product a lot, so much so that I’m not knocking a star for the packaging which, while environmentally-friendly, is annoying. It leaks little bits of powder and because its paper/cardboard, you can’t get it wet at all so you have to be really careful at the sink and it definitely can’t go in the shower. That said, I’m just going to repackage it because I like it a lot! I like that it isn’t perfumed, and it is really is gentle while still being a good exfoliant. I use it a couple times a week in conjunction with regular face wash, and I do feel like my skin texture has improved a bit over the past few weeks. I think it’s a good price for a nice skincare product!

Interesting concept, middling execution
Underwhelmed would be my diplomatic assessment of this cleanser. I don’t think it’s even making the “I didn’t love this but I’m going to use it because I have it” third string of my skincare products.In a vacuum, I love the idea of more eco friendly packaging. The cardboard tub is much more sustainable than plastics but I absolutely hate it for a facial cleanser. I prefer to wash my face in the shower/bath and this is a no go out of the gate. It’s not so flimsy that a few drops of water will compromise it but it’s also not going to hold up to repeated moisture exposure, especially considering the cleanser itself is a powder. The top turns to give you some options for dispensing but even on the larger hole I still found it somewhat annoying and unwieldy.The cleanser itself is pretty meh. I feel like there’s a target demographic that’s going to be all over the simple, natural ingredient list even if it means it’s less effective but it’s not me, I like the idea of curating “cleaner” skincare routine but I’m not willing to sacrifice a lot of effectiveness to do so.My face did feel reasonably clean but I did not really like the power format. It was easy enough to use one some water was introduced but I didn’t enjoy jugging the cardboard container trying to dispense it without getting it wet. It does seem very gentle, this could be a solid contender for someone with sensitive skin. The exfoliation was present but not very notable. I mostly felt like I could just grab some rice flour out of my cabinet and call it a day if I wanted similar results. Understandably, there’s not much a scent either which could also be a plus to the right user.Nothing about this is actively bad but I feel like it’s probably either for someone with chemical sensitivity or very minimal skincare needs.

Rice & Honey Facial Cleansing Powder
I really like this cleansing powder. I appreciate that it doesn’t have any added chemical fragrances, which sometimes give me a headache and/or bother my skin. To me, the powder doesn’t really have much of a smell to it at all.I have sensitive skin and this cleansing powder hasn’t bothered my skin or caused any bad reactions.The powder is gently exfoliating and leaves my face feeling a bit smoother and more even.A little goes a long way with this powder, so I feel the canister will last quite a while.Overall I feel this is a quality cleansing powder that works well, gently exfoliates and is a good value for the money.
