Smooth skin
I’ve been using this HKH Bakuchiol serum for a few weeks and it’s been a great gentle alternative to retinol. It feels lightweight, absorbs quickly, and doesn’t leave my skin sticky.My skin looks smoother and more even, and I’ve noticed a nice glow without the irritation I usually get from traditional retinol. It layers well with my moisturizer and works both day and night.A solid option if you want the benefits of retinol without the dryness or sensitivity.I love that it comes with a small pair of scissors.

Moisturizes nicely
I have some other capsule serums from this same company and while both of them are good, I’m not sure about the difference in performance even though one is all retinol and the other is retinol plus other active ingredients.While the capsules are more protective from bacterial contamination than serum that comes in a bottle, it’s probably not great for the environment. And all of the ones I have in bottles come with a dropper. So while I was intrigued by the capsules at first, they are actually more of a pain to open and not spill than just being able to use a dropper or pump from a bottle.This serum is more liquidy than I prefer. Now that I’ve tried quite a few serums over the past several months, I’ve grown to prefer a creamy one and then a gel-like one and then a liquid-like one and last an oil-like one. All of this is just personal preference however.This serum does hydrate my skin well. It absorbs easily and doesn’t leave any stickiness or tackiness on the surface of my skin. The serum does have a bit of a scent, but it’s not heavy or off-putting. And it doesn’t stick around for long.The capsules are potentially more convenient for traveling because you can be assured that you have enough for each day of your trip (versus having a half-used bottle where it’s hard to approximate how much is left).The current price of $22.99 for 30 capsules is hard to directly compare to serums that come in a bottle but based on my experiences for how many uses I think I get from a 1 oz. bottle, the price seems very much in line with the quality and amount I’ve experienced with other like products.

This is very similar the the Name brand ones which are more expensive. You do only get 1 time use of coverage per capsule.

These capsules are divine, the product feels perfect on the skin. I have seen results in less than three days. softer and brighter skin. I love it, I would buy it again.

Greasy
I was surprised with this retinol serum. I was expecting it to have a cream or gel consistency. It is a liquid and if I am not careful it runs down my fingers and is wasted. It is oily and my face feels greasy after I apply it. It does absorb into the skin well. It has a mild scent that I find pleasant. My face does feel softer the next morning and there is a slight reduction in fine wrinkles.
