I have nearly waist length 2b/2c hair that is not color treated. I heat style 1-2x per two weeks lately, and since it is winter my hair is subject to static and frizz.I found this set cleans well, but the shampoo was a little drying for my taste. The conditioner both didn’t do enough and was shockingly small. I definitely need more conditioner than I need shampoo, but this was like a 4:1 ratio of shampoo to conditioner. If anything, a 2:3 ratio of shampoo to conditioner is right for me.The serum is nice; it is lightweight and smoothing, but it isn’t mindblowing. I’d consider buying it again if I can on its own, because I would not repurchase this set overall. I think the set would be good for someone with shorter hair that needs less conditioner, though.

Worked wonders for my hair!
This was my first time using products from Mise En Scene, and this set was the perfect introduction to their original line of products. The set was really easy to incorporate into my regular hair care routine – from shampoo to serum. It’s a little confusing that they’re all branded with “Perfect Serum,” despite only one (the smallest bottle) being the actual serum, but there is proper labeling showing which product is which on the bottom left. The shampoo gently cleansed without overly stripping my hair of moisture. The Treatment bottle is essentially like a really thick, rich conditioner. It hydrated my hair and helped detangle some knots that I had from the night before. And finally, the serum was a perfect finish to the routine. With just a few drops, it left my hair feeling shiny and glossy, without being oily or greasy. The serum bottle has a dropper top for easy dispensing so you can carefully and intentionally only squeeze out as much as you need.The floral and fruity scent may not be to everyone’s taste, but I personally prefer this kind of scent. I didn’t find it to be too overpowering or cloying. The shampoo has the strongest floral scent, but it mostly washed off, while the treatment and serum leave a more pleasant scent after use. The treatment is less floral, and has some apricot and citrus notes. I actually prefer the scent of the treatment the most. The serum is the most subtle in scent, which is for the best since it’s meant to be rubbed on your hair once you’re out of the shower. It’s also a heat protectant, as the box indicates that it’s good for up to 230°C. If you use any heat to dry and style your hair, the serum comes in clutch to help make sure you’re not damaging your hair further.The small size of these products also make them travel-friendly. Each product comes in a convenient size that’s perfect for packing in a carry-on bag or for a quick weekend trip. A little goes a long way for these products, so although I wish the serum bottle was bigger, this is mainly because I like the product so much. Despite its small size, I was still able to notice the difference in my hair after a couple uses.Overall, these products have quickly become some of my favorites. After just a few uses, my hair feels soft, nourished, and silky smooth. This was my first time using a hair serum, and I now understand why it’s so highly rated. It not only helps with shine but also helps protect from heat damage. My hair isn’t dyed or overly damaged, but I still noticed a difference after using these products a few times. I think this set is a must-try, especially if you’re curious about Korean hair care or if you just want to treat yourself to a mini hair spa day.
