Film promotion isn’t for the weak—a press tour requires long, grueling days (often in faraway cities), endless obligations, and, as a result, innumerable outfit changes. Luckily, Kristen Stewart has found a trusty pair of shoes to carry her through.
Stewart had one of these long press days yesterday while promoting her latest film, The Wrong Girls, in New York. She started her morning in more casual attire, wearing black shorts (a staple in her closet) with a Nike “LA All Day” graphic tee underneath a boxy black blazer. The actor finished off her punky look with a silver chain necklace, sepia-toned sunglasses, and, for a pop of color, a pair of black Adidas Sambas with slime green stripes and calf-high black socks.

While the statement sneakers made perfect sense with her dressed-down look, Stewart proved they were just as viable with formalwear. For an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Stewart changed into a black leather Alex Perry midi dress with a plunging neckline and ultra-thin spaghetti straps. Though quite the departure from the T-shirt and shorts she had been wearing just a few hours earlier, the actor’s accessories remained the same—right down to her electric green sneakers.
Take it from Kristen Stewart: a 9-to-9 day doesn’t require a pair of heels to carry you through—sneakers will do just the trick.
