Model-off-duty sighting! Yesterday, Kaia Gerber was spotted walking out and about in New York City—just a day after attending the U.S. Open, and celebrating her Vogue September cover with her The Shards co-star Homer Gere at a Casa Magazines event. (Busy week!)
Naturally, Gerber’s off-the-clock outfit was both cool and casual. She paired a classic black skirt with Emily Dawn Long’s “Spoiled Boys” tee, finishing off her ensemble with a Fendi Baguette bag, ballet flats, and sleek shades. Her graphic blue tee, though, is a very IFYKY piece: Fellow stars such as Pedro Pascal, Paul W. Downs, and Tommy Dorfman have all been seen wearing it, too. So, what’s the story behind the It piece?

Dawn Long—who is based in New York and is a CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund finalist this year—first introduced her “Spoiled Boys” tee earlier this year, and she has continued to release the signature style in a variety of new colorways. The designer is known, in part, for repurposing vintage tees and screen-printing “Spoiled Boys” overtop them—an homage to her male clientele. “I make menswear—I love my boys,” she tells Vogue. “’Spoiled’ usually gets a bad rap—like it’s a negative thing—but it can also mean pampered, cared for, and cherished. It’s a term of endearment.” The shirts retail for $200.
