Calling all tennis fans! The US Open is officially upon us, which means that, for the next few weeks, expect to see a surfeit of pleated skirts, sporty polos, branded Open hats, and maybe even a racket or two on the streets of New York (and especially on the 7 train as it makes its way towards Arthur Ashe Stadium). While dressing up in your preppiest looks is always welcome, it may be, perhaps, a touch obvious? Fret not, we’ve thought of another way to show your support for the game. Consider this: why not toss on some zesty lime green, reminiscent of the fuzzy balls being bandied back and forth on the court? Not only has it been a beloved, attention-grabbing color amongst the street style set for a few years now (as documented in cities from Copenhagen to New York), but it’s perhaps the most fashion-forward way to be among the best and brightest in the crowd. It’s certainly one way to get Alcaraz’s attention. Below, find a little lime green inspo from some of our favorite street style shots.
