Though she ended her night at Tory Burch’s bumping spring 2027 fashion show, Ravyn Lenae made a valiant effort to stay chill during the day. “I like it to be calm,” the singer tells Vogue. In practice, that looks like “a good conversation, laughing, some candles, some good music—anything that keeps my heart rate down.”
Over the chatter about haunting documentaries and silly video clips, Lenae has cued up the 1977 record You Can Fly on My Aeroplane by Wee. “I love that record,” she says. “I was feeling really soulful today and wanted to hear some good songwriting and singing and chords.”
Another mood-booster is her look. It certainly helps that Lenae feels at home in her show outfit, a blue striped skirt with a thigh-high slit and rosettes, a gray cardigan—loaded up with sparkles and buttons—and a matching scarf. It was right in the singer’s personal style wheelhouse. “I think there’s something fun about playing with things that feel glamorous, but then almost breaking it down and undoing it so that it almost feels like the day after something has happened,” she says.
This look was the first thing she was drawn to when she walked into the Tory Burch showroom. “It caught my eye when I first walked into the showroom, mostly because of the color and the texture and how they work together,” she explains. But sometimes there’s a kind of alchemy when you try something on, “and the whole room has this experience with you,” she adds. “Ah, that means that’s the one.”
