Cozy walks in the rain, quiet moments by the fire, puddle-splashing, fishing, and more; these are all scenes straight out of a fairytale. And as Meghan Markle shared in a new video posted on her Instagram on Sunday, these are all part of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s new family life in the UK.
While the location of their new home base hasn’t been officially revealed, it is reportedly in the English countryside, as the Duchess’s idyllic new video seems to confirm. Despite speculation, Meghan and Prince Harry are still living as private citizens after stepping away from their royal duties in 2020, and are not expected to have a royal residence.
In the video, the Duke and Duchess walk hand in hand on a country road, their family dog (a black Labrador retriever named Pula) walks along with them, and their children, the seven-year-old Prince Archie and five-year-old Princess Lilibet, play and fish. (There is also a clip of little feet being warmed by the fire.) In one clip, Lilibet rides her bicycle while a herd of deer run in the background. Set to “Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go” by British pop duo Wham!, the video features a British flag and a red heart emoji front and center in all the clips.
Though there are rumors that Meghan may be returning to acting in her new home base, she appears to be enjoying family time as much as ever.
