“When you think of Italian tech fabrics, it’s often linked to sports and you think Moncler, Prada, Diesel, Ferrari, all of them,” Lady Amanda Harlech, who is on the team bringing Vogue World: Milano to life, told Vogue ahead of the event. “They all have the leading ability to create great fashion that is extraordinarily sporty. But also that they’ve come up with ways of recycling and using recycled material,” Harlech said, noting that Consani’s Bottega look is made of recycled fiberglass, highlighting the way that technology helped usher in a new form of sustainability—and a new era.
