So, how are the models wearing them? This fall, with a range of relaxed trousers and tops with a bit of personality. Low-profile styles are paired with everything from faded jeans and striped tees to slouchy cargos and oversized shirting, while chunkier, more technical pairs ground pinstripe trousers and a hoodie. There’s plenty of high-low mixing, too. Sporty sneakers are found alongside luxe leather jackets or with big jeans and a feminine blouse.
The common thread is ease and a lack of preciousness. Here, the sneakers and their counterparts feel thrown together rather than overly styled. You get the feeling that these models are less concerned with building an outfit than they are with getting from show to show—which, of course, is what makes them so cool.
