Do the members of South Korean girl group Aespa ever dream about switching lives with each other? No, for the most part (although singer Karina’s talent for getting a good night’s sleep is definitely envy-inspiring to her bandmates). In the most recent installment of Vogue’s Never Have I Ever video series, the four women—Karina, Giselle, Winter, and Ningning—discuss some of their favorite songs lately, from Frank Ocean’s “White” to Billie Holiday’s “Blue Moon” to “The Healer” by Erykah Badu, and admit to listening to their own music on repeat.
Aespa’s answers show just how close they’ve gotten since their group was formed in 2020, with all four members admitting to borrowing each other’s clothes without asking (”Back when we used to live in one dorm together, it was like a closet. The whole house was a closet, basically,” reminisces Karina). And, yes, they have practiced their choreo in public, they admit they’ve all searched their own fancams…and they’ve all forgotten the words to their songs at one point or another, which is fair enough, since they’ve got more than 70 songs in their discography as a group.
Finally, it’s time for the hard questions: Do the members of Aespa ever mute the group chat? For answers to that and a host of other deeply searching questions, watch the full video for yourself above.
