When it comes to Halloween nail art, there’s a careful balance between seasonal and sophisticated. And 2026’s biggest Halloween nail trend—a spider nail art manicure—rests in the perfect place between the two. Sure, if you’re arachnophobic, it’s certainly not your nail art of choice (unless, that is, you want to be scared every time you look down at your hands). For the rest of us, it’s time to get caught in the trend’s web.
Nail artists Hang Nguyen and Betina Goldstein had a similar thought process when it came to trying out the trend—an arachnid accent finger. Nguyen’s take on the trend started with a glossy black base on four fingers (much like Hailey Bieber’s recent manicure for the Academy Gala), with the spider placed on a negative-space ring finger. The arachnid’s abdomen is made up of neon green cat-eye gel that looks like a eyeball.
Goldstein took the trend to a find jewelry place by replacing the spider’s body with a single fresh-water pearl. All of the nails were glossy and pared back, reminding us of the minimalist glass nail trend.
