On Thursday, July 24, fans got a first look at the color when Watts was photographed on set of the Ryan Murphy passion project. On the night shoot, the actress’s own crisp blonde hair had been transformed into a medium brown shade and considerably lengthened. Jackie O was a lob girl, after all.

As expected, Watts’ locks had major volume and a slight wave. The ends were curved inward (we call that a curved bob), resting right at shoulder length. I don’t want to speak for the masses, but I think the hair and makeup department did a good job this time around. Watts’ bright crop will always be a winner, but she looks good in the retro style. Even more importantly, she looks like the icon she’s portraying.

As for the outfit, Watts was dressed in a soft pink silk top, dark trousers, and pumps. Though certainly dated, it’s an outfit that wouldn’t look too weird if you spotted it out and about; we’re having a very Jackie Kennedy summer.
