Heidi Klum and Tom Kaulitz look like they’re on a never-ending honeymoon, evidenced by a constant stream of PDA-packed moments, topless getaways, and NSFW quality time shared on the German model’s Instagram account. The Project Runway judge opened up about her steamy six-year marriage to the 35-year-old musician in a new interview—and according to Klum, an unexpectedly “spicy” tradition is the key to keeping her relationship feeling fresh and exciting.
In a cover story interview with People published on July 30, Klum opened up about the couple’s palpable chemistry—as well as the playful activity they do together: Lingerie shopping. “He loves sitting there and I go into the changing room and I come out with a different outfit on,” she told the publication. “He loves me in a mini skirt. He loves me in pumps. He just loves when I get all dolled up.”
Revealing that the German guitarist will also get her “different fun outfits” to try on, Klum said that her husband likes her at full glam and au naturale. “He’s not against makeup, but if I have nothing on he likes that too. He also loves when I get all dolled up,” she explained.
Winking at the interviewer, Klum played coy as she added, “There are a ton of things that I can’t talk about that we do.”

Klum—who was previously married to celebrity hairstylist Ric Pipino and musician Seal—revealed that she’d had to intentionally set a “clean slate” for Kaulitz after her past relationship experiences. However, she’d said she’d learned a lot from her younger husband, despite him being 17 years her junior, since their 2019 wedding.

“When our door closes at home and when we’re good, I don’t really care so much what happens around us,” she shared. “I’ve learned things from my husband that I didn’t know I was capable of doing. I feel like it’s important to live in the moment, enjoy each other, be fair to each other and love one another, and then you see how things are going.”

Klum also revealed that the negative public discourse about her age-gap marriage seemed to be shifting in a positive direction, explaining, “I think more and more it’s accepted to be an older woman with a younger man, it wasn’t really that you would see it a lot, but I feel like now you see it more and more.”
