Selena Gomez is the only woman who could use her manicure to help sell perfume.

While promoting Rare Beauty’s new Rare Eau de Parfum, the brand’s founder has been rocking a sweet take on summer naked nail trend to go with the gourmand scent. “Rare Eau de Parfum is warm and decadent with a touch of spice with notes of creamy caramel and pistachio, gives way to an unexpected duality of rich vanilla and spicy ginger, then dries down to an earthy sandalwood,” Gomez wrote of the scent on Instagram prior to its launch on August 7. Meanwhile, Glamour UK associate beauty director Fiona Embleton simply describes the concoction as “the ultimate comfort food for my senses.”

On August 8, Gomez’s longtime celebrity nail artist Tom Bachik shared the details of her “soft serve” manicure from the scent’s promotional images, revealing he used Aprés Nail’s Light & Shadow gel polish in the shade “Maybe…” as the base of the milky, vanilla-coded manicure before topping it off with his own Tom Bachik Click Colors pen in shade Super Clear.

But as sweet as Gomez’s new scent surely is—I’m dying to give it a whiff but have not yet had the pleasure—there seems to be a bit more spice to it than your run-of-the-mill gourmand scent.

“There are buzzy perfume ingredients such as pistachio, caramel, cocoa, and vanilla for sure, but these notes are almost the back-up singers here,” Embelton writes in her review. “What really jumped out at me when I first sniffed it was the pink pepper and ginger, which add a nose-twitching, zesty spiciness to the scent.”

That’s where Gomez’s latest manicure comes in. On August 8, Gomez revealed a more fall-coded manicure at the Rare Eau de Parfum launch party in Los Angeles, pairing her stunning off-white Cult Gaia Renata gown with a short, moody pink manicure that perfectly matches her mauve lips.

Though Balchik has yet to release the name of Gomez’s latest set, I feel comfortable dubbing them “spicy pink pepper nails” in honor of the Australia ingredient present in her latest launch. I can already picture countless women rocking the shade once Pumpkin Spice Latte season is back in full swing—which might be the best time to spritz Rare Eau de Parfum, according to Embleton.
