Bridgerton star Simone Ashley may have left the corsets and ballgowns of the period piece behind, but she’s keeping its candy color palette, recently stepping out for a stroll in New York City wearing shades of turquoise and carrying a bright yellow bag that contrast for an almost aggressively bright take on summer cheer.
On August 9, Ashley was photographed in a light blue lace camisole paired with a snakeskin-patterned silk skirt that flared for an almost mermaid silhouette; in fact, Ashley played one of Ariel’s sisters in Disney’s recent live action remake of The Little Mermaid, so maybe that’s been an influence on her style, too? She skipped extra jewelry, save for simple gold earrings, and accessorized with brown sunglasses and classic white Nike Air Force 1 sneakers. One one arm, she carried an oversize woven bright yellow Prada tote. On the other… well, take a look here.
Yeah, that’s Joshua Jackson she’s taking a walk with, and he, too, is wearing Nikes: green suede with orange swooshes. Are they working on something together? Not that we’re aware of! In fact, he’s busy filming Happy Hours with Katie Holmes right now; she’s in town for The Devil Wears Prada 2. This appears to be a social stroll. A promenade, if you will. Not as flirtatious as dancing together at a ball, but far more fun than having tea in the drawing room.
Fortunately, we’ll get to see Simone Ashley as one half of #Kanthony again real soon, as she confirmed to Glamour UK that Kate Sharma does appear in the fourth season of Bridgerton. “I know that I am returning, but that’s all I can say. I absolutely adore the show, and the more I can be a part of it, the better. They’ve been really kind to work around my schedule,” she revealed.
