There was a distinct “back to school” feeling in the air at 140 Wooster Street on Thursday evening. With New York Fashion Week on the horizon, designer Marina Moscone opened up her Rolodex to invite friends of the brand to check out her first-ever brick-and-mortar endeavor.

With its white walls and minimalist interiors, the gallery-like space served as a palate cleanser—goodbye summer, hello fall fashion. The serene, pared-back setting allowed Moscone’s current collection—rich plum-hued tailoring, silver satin separates, and a navy-and-burgundy polka-dot silk dress—to shine. Around the room, her garments looked even more tempting modeled by sun-kissed, post–Euro-summer tastemakers. Moscone’s artfully sculpted jewelry looked right at home amid the vintage and contemporary art and furniture sourced for the boutique.

Moscone, who founded the label alongside her sister Francesca in 2016, was drinking it all in. “We looked uptown, downtown, at small spaces and big spaces…but SoHo has it all when it comes to the diversity in the type of people that pass by,” she said of the winning location. “I like to stand up on the top level and watch the moms with their strollers, older couples, and the younger fashion crowd walking past every day.”

Next Saturday morning, the script flips: anyone in the neighborhood can peek in the windows to catch a glimpse of Moscone presenting her spring/summer 2026 collection in the store. “I’m so excited to share it. We’ve worked so hard on it and this type of intimate, salon-style way of showing really suits us,” she told Vogue.

As heavy rain began to fall outside, actress and DJ Francesca Keller played out the last of the summer vibes with a set chock-full of retro Italian disco. Actress Louisa Jacobson arrived unfazed by the downpour and immediately caught up with Isabella Massenet and Renata Zandonadi Quaglia, who found themselves twinning in bubble-hem Lurex mini dresses. A pale pink lace-clad Lily Rabe and her husband, Hamish Linklater, congratulated Moscone before turning their attention to the impressive life-size grazing board, laden with figs, prosciutto, soft cheeses, and nuts. Nearby, stylish moms, including Riverdale’s Erinn Westbrook and curator Isolde Brielmaier, compared notes on getting back into the swing of September school drop-offs.

The evening underscored the label’s multigenerational appeal, with Succession’s Annabelle Dexter-Jones and her mother, jewelry designer Ann Dexter-Jones, both making appearances. As for the star of the show? Marco, Moscone’s adorable toddler, stole the limelight. “He’s my best friend; he comes everywhere with me,” the designer laughed. “He’ll be here next Saturday, cheering me on, too.”

The pop-up is open now through October.
