When was the last time we saw Lorelai and Rory Gilmore together in the same place, anyway? Whenever it was, this Emmys 2025 Gilmore Girls reunion with Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel is just telling us that it was way too long ago.
To commemorate 25 years of Gilmore Girls, the pair are getting together to present at this year’s Emmys, and, apparently, the show designers are recreating a Stars Hollow set for their big moment.
After acting together on the beloved series for seven seasons in the 2000s, Graham and Bledel revived their mother and daughter roles for the four-episode revival series that aired on Netflix in 2016—which also happens to be the last time they appeared together on the red carpet. The original CW show was critically well-received, and obviously a timeless favorite, but only won one Emmy in its lifespan, for best makeup.

We got our first hints at an Emmys 2025 Gilmore Girls reunion when the award show’s seating plan was revealed, and showed Graham and Bledel seated next to each other in the third row, per Cosmopolitan.
In her red carpet interview with ET, Graham said, “In a way I have such a good relationship with Alexis, we kind of just click back in…No time is lost.” She also noted that it is, “a thrill that the show has lasted as long as has it has.” As for whether she might participate in the Gilmore Girls documentary reportedly in the works, Graham was rather diplomatic. “I don’t do anything the creator of my shows aren’t doing, so so far, no.”
