What’s interesting is not only that they’re back, but how they’re back: more refined, more intentional, more integrated into outfits that start from the basics. Wearing a plain black trouser, denim midi skirt, or white shirt could be boring…if it weren’t for what’s happening on the feet.
Dior wasn’t the only designer to show print shoes recently, of course. The most recent catwalks have made it clear that this accessory is a big trend to watch. At Louis Vuitton they appear embroidered, at Patou they flirted with Parisian ingenuity, and at Sportmax they made floral graphics look almost sculptural.

So what started with a few perfectly placed polka dots has expanded into a whole style universe: Now, we’re eyeing shoes in slightly off-kilter checks, flowers that look hand-painted, stylized stripes, and every animal print you could imagine.
