In terms of celebrity weddings, they don’t get much bigger than Taylor Swift’s forthcoming nuptials. Dua Lipa and Callum Turner did themselves proud in Sicily, but the official union of your English teacher and your gym teacher—rumored to be taking place over the same weekend as America’s 250th Independence Day—will arguably have more cultural impact than the Fourth of July itself. Speculation has naturally turned to the dress. Will Swift go with classic Vivienne Westwood, custom Givenchy (currently the front runner) or, judging by her recent wardrobe choices, lean more boho with her bridal style?
Despite being in the final stages of planning, the singer is still finding time to… well, sing. She was spotted heading to Electric Lady Studios in New York this week wearing a slouchy Chloé Penelope shoulder bag and Gucci Horsebit platform sandals that further emphasized the nostalgic, ’70s vibe of her front-pocket jeans.

Taylor’s chunky Gucci stompers are a new addition to her shoe collection (though she’s a longtime fan of a granny sandal), and her combination of denim and a short-sleeved knit was more laid-back than the outfits we’re used to seeing from the star. Recent looks have included Old Hollywood-esque custom Givenchy, off-the-shoulder Erdem and sparkling Oscar de la Renta.
Even if she is enjoying dabbling in Dakota-coded daytime dressing, it seems unlikely that Taylor will plump for crochet or fringe on her wedding day. But could this bohemian streak hint at a more retro sound for her next album? Time (and the online sleuths of the Swiftie fandom), will tell.
