While the Berliners brought their typical hard-edged industrial energy to Berlin Fashion Week, we’re happy (and surprised!) to report a lot more color and flamboyance on the streets of the German fashion capital. The city might be famous for its head-to-toe black (perfect for all-night raving), but this season we couldn’t help but notice unexpected touches of pastels and festive prints—perhaps the direct influence of the emerging and guest designers who showed alongside more familiar names. Still, there was plenty of tough leather, bondage elements, and more tattoos than you could count. Here’s the stylish crowd our intrepid street style photographer spotted on the streets of Berlin.
