What part of town do you live in?
    Upper West now.

And what do you do for a living?
I’m an independent curator. We just moved back to New York, just in time for the heat. We were here for five years, then Miami for one, and now we’re back.

What was your thinking this morning, getting ready to walk around in the heat?
It’s actually my sister’s. She lives in Romania. It belongs to her, but it’s great because I don’t have to wear sunscreen when I’m wearing it. It protects me from the sun. It actually keeps you cool, and you don’t have to wear a bra or anything else underneath. It’s easy breezy. She brought the fan back for me from Ghana.

You’ve got a lot of pattern and print, and your glasses too—is that how you dress year-round
Absolutely, yeah—a lot of color too. Anything on the crazy, maximalist side.

    What draws you to that?
My personality. I’m always drawn to whatever makes people stop. I worked on you!

What do you do for a living?
I’m an artist and I work in galleries.

What kind of art do you make?
Photography, performance art, painting—a jill of all trades. Multidisciplinary.

Tell me a little about what you’re wearing—where’d you get everything?
I got this Calvin Klein bodysuit at the thrift store for two dollars. Most of my clothes are secondhand—this is a COS skirt. Marni sunglasses from The RealReal. Random ballet flats, and the bag is a secondhand Kenneth Cole.

It’s hot out, you’re running around—what’s your thinking when you’re getting dressed?
Every day when I leave the house, I’m like, ‘OK, I’m going to live five different lives in one day, and I have to be prepared for all of them.’ Maybe I end up going dancing on a random Wednesday, so what’s appropriate for that later, or I have to go do some work and meet a client, and that’s fine, I can be kind of undressed for that too.
