Befitting a horror-film It-girl, Inde Navarrette doesn’t mind looking a little spectral at times. While sharing her Beauty Secrets with Vogue, the Obsession actress says: “There are days when I really want to be completely pasty—borderline goth—because I’m feeling very Evanescence that day.” Today, however, is not one of those days. The 25-year-old is feeling a “bit more sunkissed”— and that’s why she’s mixing cream blushes to find the perfect hue to suggest she still has sand between her toes.
“I feel the most confident whenever I’m freshly off the beach, and I have color here,” Navarrette says, indicating the top half of her face. While doing her makeup, she uses seaside moments like that as a reference point. “That’s kind of my first go-to, is where the sun would naturally hit me,” Navarrette says, using a fluffy brush to swirl a blend of Rhode Pocket Blushes over her cheeks, eyelids, and the bridge of her nose.
She adds another layer of beachy glow to her look with Iconic London’s liquid bronzer—a product she’s been loyal to since her high school days. “This is the only [bronzer] that I feel like is, genuinely, my color,” she says. “Sometimes they’re too orange.” Looking more subtly burnished than tangerine-hued, the Arizona native changes into a silky, lacy white slipdress for dinner.
Before she heads out, she spritzes on her unnamed perfume—after all, “Rihanna doesn’t tell you what she wears,” she quips. But she is willing to divulge her secret for glistening like a fairytale heroine. As she dabs Le Labo’s Hand Pomade onto her collarbones and decolletage, the actress says: “If you have any lotion, always put lotion on areas that are being shown. Especially the decolletage. The sun will hit it, and it just makes you look glowy and glistening and like a pretty, pretty princess.”
