Love stories can look very different. For some, it’s the Hallmark-coded, castles in the sky fairytale. For others, it’s an explosive, star-crossed romance between a fashion exec and a presidential heir hurtling toward tragedy. Paul Anthony Kelly looks comfortable traversing both fantasies.
A collaborative Instagram post by Disney Weddings and Allure Bridals yesterday sees Kelly modeling the “Disney Mickey Mouse Tuxedo.” Across the four-image carousel, Kelly models the Mickey character-lined blazer jacket, dances with a bride in a manor house swirling with dry ice, and strikes a pose perched among rosebushes.
“Black-tie sophistication with a subtle touch of Disney charm,” reads the caption—the post doesn’t tag or name Paul Anthony Kelly. “Introducing the Disney Mickey Mouse Tuxedo. Hidden within the tonal interior lining, a discreet Mickey Mouse ear motif offers a refined nod to the iconic character through thoughtful detailing. If you’re looking for a sleek, classic style for your wedding day with a tribute to Disney magic—this ensemble is for you. #DisneyWeddings.” The Disney Mickey Mouse Tuxedo is available for rental from authorized Disney Fairy Tale Weddings Collection retailers, it’s also shared.

It took PAK 13 years of chipping away—working as a model, going to acting auditions—before he secured the keys to Camelot and landed his breakout role as John F. Kennedy Junior in FX’s Love Story, opposite Sarah Pidgeon, as his Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy. And he’s got a spate of projects lined up: photos just dropped that offer a first look of Kelly in the next instalment of Ryan Murphy’s American Horror Story, where he’ll star alongside the returning Jessica Lange. (All we know of Kelly in the series is that he sports a coiffed blond wig, and Murphy has described his character as “the linchpin of the season.”) Kelly will also star in the recently announced The Housemaid’s Secret, alongside Sydney Sweeney and Kirsten Dunst.
It’s likely this was a low-stakes modeling job PAK took on to pay the bills before the Love Story job and subsequent frenzy that catapulted him to quick superstardom. (Kelly was first scouted while working at American Apparel in Toronto, and was signed to Ford Models. He’s appeared in campaigns for Vivienne Westwood, Loro Piana, and Brooks Brothers.)
Nonetheless, it’s a shrewd move by Disney Wedding, an official planning service run by The Walt Disney Company and Allure Bridals, a Tennessee-based bridal specialist who collaborates on Disney-themed pieces for Bride and grooms: Ariel, Belle, Aurora gowns included too.
