For many, summer fashion is all romantic slip dresses and bohemian details: these past few months have been especially ripe with fringe and suede moments. Rihanna, meanwhile, is always going to do Rihanna.
The star stepped out for dinner last night in New York at Pastis; she wore a muted orange velour tracksuit care of Chloé and a croc-embossed coordinating bag. On her feet, more animal print, with a pair of strappy snake Amina Muaddi sandals. (A firm fave footwear designer.) For accessories, Rih wore gold and pink tinted, oversized aviator sunglasses and layers of gold necklaces and bracelets.
Glam was just as outsized: her hair was styled in undulating corkscrew curls, her manicure a deep red and pedicure sparkling white, with a glossy dark brown lip.
While Chloé is a brand that came to define the early aughts era of boho chic and continues to do so in the contemporary age, Rih opted for something both nonchalantly cool and cozy. After all, she’s only just returned from sunny Barbados, where her vacation wardrobe featured a draped archival Commes Des Garçons dress, and an intricate, multicolored and feathered Lauren Austin designed outfit for Crop Over festival.

Rihanna, of course, is also no stranger to a high-fashion hoodie. In Paris for the menswear shows, she cozied up in a cocoon-like floral puffer jacket with a white fuzzy-lined hood straight from the Dior mens fall 2026 runway. She’s a longtime lover of a tracksuit—or a more sporty jumpsuit—usually from her own Savage x Fenty line.
As temperatures begin to trend downward, expect to see Rih back at the peak of her fashion powers: luxuriating in layers, covetable vintage accessories, and streetwear-coded style.
