No, you don’t need specific outfits to impress the PTA, but we polled Glamour editors who are moms, and they unanimously do at least consider how they show up for their kids at school. A classic school pick-up and drop-off outfit typically involves leggings, but lately track pants have been the go-to bottoms for moms looking to have a slightly more elevated look. “For school drop-off and pick-up, I’m all about adding pieces to my basic T-shirt and sneakers to zhush it up and look a little more put-together than I feel,” says Glamour deputy editor Anna Moeslein. “My favorite formula is an oversized button-down shirt on top and swapping my leggings or bike shorts for a more interesting, comfy bottom like track pants.” She then tops this outfit with functional accessories and footwear. “I’ll put on a baseball hat to cover up my messy-mom hair, and the sneakerina trend has been great. I can easily slip those on and off, and they look super cute with everything.”
