The first thing that one could see when pulling up to People’s—save for a big crowd dressed in all-black dying to get in the door—on Saturday after 11 p.m. was actor Jack Cameron Kay in a fitted I Work Nights t-shirt. “I need one of those,” said this party reporter—to which Frankie Carattini, the guarder of the Greenwich Village club’s pearly gates, dead-panned: “Same.”
Inside, pretty much everyone looked like they could have walked the Conner Ives Spring 2027 show. Alas, many of them had—even Hunter Pifer, who was helming the DJ decks at one point. (As did Boots star Kay, as well as Lila Moss, stylist Dara Allen, Princess Olympia of Greece, twins Josie and Jake Dupont, and Osman Ahmed.)
The late late night bash was thrown in collaboration with Jimmy Choo, who had kitted out models in footwear for the catwalk. “I’m so happy we could host him after his homecoming,” Carattini said, referring to the New York-born, London-based designer on the occasion of his inaugural NYFW outing.
Ives’s dolls—if you know, you know—were out in force. So were Paloma Elsesser, Louisa Jacobson, Troye Sivan, Precious Lee, and Ivy Getty, who invited him to the Met Gala two years back. And Alexa Chung, promising she was only staying for a few minutes but promptly making herself at home for hours, who was in the now-famous fur-trimmed silk opera coat coveted by so many.
If attendees didn’t have a lit cigarette in hand, they had a warm cookie or a Lalo tequila margarita (pick your poison) as they bopped around to sets by Queenie and Lynette Nylander—fashion editors have to wear many hats these days, as we all know.
When the lights eventually came up, no one wanted to leave—but luckily artist Chloe Wise was coaxing them outside under the guise of an impromptu group photoshoot on West 13th Street with their new Jimmy Choo-branded caps.
