While some to-be-weds look for their wedding attire at bridal salons, others shop the NYFW runways. The modern bride is not wearing just one dress on their wedding day anymore. We frequently find that brides in Vogue wedding features curate wardrobes for the ceremony and beyond, including vintage finds, couture looks, and ready-to-wear styles that branch away from those classic silhouettes we have seen for years. From avant-garde wedding gowns to wear down the aisle to all-white sets perfect for a rehearsal dinner to after-party looks full of corsetry and shine, today’s fashion bride is doing things differently.
Luckily for anyone getting married in the year ahead, the New York Fashion Week Spring 2027 shows have been filled with plenty of pieces for a bride that wants to wear something bold. This season’s vintage-inspired suiting at Ralph Lauren, lusciously draped dresses from Kallmeyer, and textural delights by Monse deserve to be worn on a wedding weekend. Of course, Wiederhoeft’s show was a must-watch for brides-to-be. Since the designer integrates their bridal pieces into every ready-to-wear show instead of debuting at Bridal Fashion Week, many ivory gowns and minis with their signature snatched-waist silhouettes were seen on the runway.
