Even an Emmy winner like Hannah Einbinder still gets the awards show jitters now and again. “By the fifth round, after vastly different experiences each year, I’m now just trying to remember that one day, I will die,” the Hacks star half-jokes to Vogue the day of the 2026 Emmys. “These environments can be incredibly scary and intense, and the amount of perception can be overwhelming,” she adds. “But if I zoom out and view my life outside of this moment, I can say to myself, ‘Don’t be scared. Don’t worry so much. Just see it as what it is and enjoy the show!’”
Einbinder is nominated tonight for supporting actress in a comedy series for the fifth and final season of Hacks. The actor and stylist Karla Welch pulled a look that walked the runway mere days ago (and was hand-carried back to Los Angeles overnight): a black satin bra top with white trim and a black column skirt, look 34 from Calvin Klein Collection’s spring 2027 show. While the look was perfectly minimal, Einbinder and Welch added some pizzazz with a hulking pear-shaped diamond pendant from Ana Khouri. Perhaps eagle-eyed fans could have been able to guess what Einbinder would wear based on her New York Fashion Week activity. “Karla and I saw the show this weekend and were so obsessed with it. Beyond chic,” she says. “We chose it because tonight it’s all about cool.”

Einbinder is trying to apply that sense of cool to all aspects of her day, including her getting-ready process. “I’m getting ready at Chateau [Marmont], which is how I get into the fantasy of the whole thing,” she says. Music will help get her in the mood. “I have a playlist I made called ‘Stripper List,’ and it has a lot of slutty rock songs and things of the like.” That, plus an order of root beer and a hummus plate, is bound to set the tone for the night. Once inside, “I am planning on doing it Ava Daniels style: hit the frickin’ buffet and try to make Jean laugh,” she adds.
But just in case the vines need an extra boost, Einbinder has thought of everything. In her Jimmy Choo bag, Einbinder keeps “a bewitched 18th-century amulet.”
“When I hold it, I can summon a succubus to take my place in my seat while I go refresh my champagne at the bar!”
