Every September, like clockwork, the fashion crowd reconvenes in the Big Apple for New York Fashion Week, where a new season of shows kicks off. It’s the first in a four-city, cross-continent tour, and something of a back-to-school gathering for the editors, stylists, store buyers, and models who populate the industry. Lulu Tenney, a New York native, may now reside in Paris, but she doesn’t let that stop her from touching down to pay a visit to her friends and family, while also hitting a few designer catwalks in between.
This season, we gave the model— who walked at Ralph Lauren and Tory Burch—a disposable camera to send us some behind-the-scenes snaps of her whirlwind trip. It was, she said, a “New York dream day.” As a model, your days start early and go late, and last Thursday was no exception. That day she walked Tory Burch’s spring 2027 show at Noguchi’s Sunken Garden in the Financial District.
Following the Tory show, she headed to some of the evening’s many fabulous soireés with some fellow models (some who were still in their “Gloria” tees straight from the Burch catwalk). First stop was Balthazar, where Chanel was fêting their new Coco fragrance before gallivanting off to hot spot Sophie’s in the East Village.
And everyone knows that the best part about going out is the after-party that follows. “We ended the night in a karaoke room until they kicked us out. I LOVE YOU NEW YORK,” proclaimed the model.
