New York, London, Paris, Hollywood, Milano! The fifth edition of Vogue World arrived on a warm Tuesday evening in the Italian city, coinciding with the first day of Milan Fashion Week.
Inside the grand neo-Renaissance Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II—a fitting setting to spotlight exquisite design and generations of makers—the globe-trotting fashion celebration paid tribute to craftsmanship and the human touch, while raising funds for the Quarto Oggiaro Library in northwestern Milan.
Italy’s historic fashion houses—Prada, Armani, Versace, Ferragamo, Gucci—were invited to create one-of-a-kind pieces inspired by the event’s creative theme, worn by generations of models, from Mariacarla Boscono to Gigi Hadid. In an era of pervasive artificial intelligence, the evening offered an opportunity to reflect on the power of human creativity and craftsmanship.
Below, Vogue photographers capture the craft on the ground, from candid moments among starry attendees and backstage discussions to the vibrant scenes you probably didn’t catch at home.
Vogue World: Milano is made possible by presenting sponsors ALO, eBay, Eli Lilly and Company, and Meta Glasses.
