Another day, another Hollywood press tour!
Tonight in London, Dakota Johnson attended the screening of Verity—her new Michael Showalter film co-starring Anne Hathaway and Josh Hartnett. Releasing on October 2, the thriller will likely produce a few more red carpet premieres this month, but this evening served as the very first splashy event for the film. And naturally, Johnson delivered a statement fashion look for the occasion.
The actor hit the step and repeat in an off-white lace gown by New York designer Colleen Allen, complete with a layered collar neckline. But it was the totally sheer fabrication that was the real standout feature, revealing a black Fleur du Mal bra and brief underneath.

Johnson is no stranger to naked dressing, of course: The actor has often slipped into transparent frocks that deliberately reveal the form underneath. A few years back, for one, she donned a transparent webbed Gucci gown to the Madame Web premiere. Earlier this week, the star also slipped into a sheer black Valentino look for Vogue World in Milan.
And now, Johnson is keeping the look alive and bringing it into fall territory. There is something about the juxtaposition of her demure lace with a more revealing fabrication that feels decidedly fresh. Not to mention she’s wearing one of New York’s coolest and buzziest labels of the moment to do it (to wit: Allen was just nominated for a CFDA Award for Emerging Designer). With her Verity press tour is off to a strong start the question now is: Will we get one more final Anne Hathaway maternity moment from this tour, too? Keep your eyes peeled.
