Like mother, like daughter—at least when it comes to end-of-summer-tailoring. Yesterday, Demi Moore and Tallulah Willis arrived at Step Up’s 2026 Annual Inspiration Awards at the Skirball Cultural Center in coordinating Thom Browne skirt suits, putting a distinctly preppy spin on mother-daughter dressing.
Moore’s Nantucket-print suit was the more whimsical of the two, covered in a beachy illustrated scene that ekes out the last few drops of summer. The set comprised a tailored blazer and pleated, step-hem knee-length skirt, worn with a sky-blue shirt and coordinating striped tie. She leaned fully into the designer’s school uniform-y codes with white tube socks and pointed blue-and-white T-bar pumps, finishing the look with a structured white leather handbag and square-framed glasses. Her signature raven hair was back to almost hip-skimming length. The actor was among Step Up’s honorees.
Willis followed her mother’s lead in a dove-gray Thom Browne skirt suit accented with red-and-white striping. With her hair cut into a tousled lob and a pair of oval sunglasses perched on her face, her take felt a little more relaxed.

The coordinated moment comes only weeks after Willis and musician Justin Acee wed on August 8 at her family home in Hailey, Idaho, wearing a custom Balenciaga gown by Pierpaolo Piccioli. Moore was closely involved throughout, joining her daughter for fittings and wearing custom Balenciaga couture herself on the day. Tallulah later described her mother as “the backbone of this whole experience,” while Moore escorted granddaughter Louetta down the aisle before watching Willis marry in the woodland ceremony.
Earlier in the summer, Moore and Willis stepped out together for the Balenciaga couture fall 2026 show; while Willis opted for a summery cream and olive green look and Moore kept to all-black, there was still a throughline in the more free-flowing silhouettes.
