Rebecca Hall is feeling hot. Literally.
“I didn’t know it was still summer in Paris,” the actor tells Vogue. “I packed for fall.” Nevertheless, Hall persevered, sitting front row at Maison Margiela’s spring 2027 show in an all-black look. Thankfully, her shoes—a hybrid of boots and sandals that also walked the runway—offered some much-needed ventilation.
While Hall admits that her off-duty style is “pretty variable” (though she admits she usually ends up in “a variation on pants and a button-down”), the actor most often finds herself reaching for a pair of slouchy trousers. Maybe she’ll be adding a new pair to her rotation soon: the stirrup pants caught Hall’s eye at the show. As did “the structured necklines, the jackets with the gravity-defying collars.”
“I loved how there was this mashing of structure and then these diaphanous ’60s floral prints that looked like they could have come off a vintage tablecloth,” Hall says. But she adds, “Ultimately, the dress with the crushed silverware really sticks out in my memory.”

The show is just one item on Hall’s detailed Parisian agenda. She prepared for her day with a selection of pastries. “Carbs don’t behave the same in France. Scientific fact…,” she jokes. With a few hours to spare, she headed to the Ninth Arrondissement in the hopes of expanding her button-down collection.
“[I] go to a store in the Ninth called Cristaseya. They have the best button-down shirts in the most beautiful fabrics,” she says. “They don’t really sell online unless they’re having a special event, so you have to go in person to get them.” On this occasion, Hall took home a brown silk-wool blend. After the show, she’ll head to Musée Carnavalet in the Marais to see a reconstruction of Marcel Proust’s room.
While Hall has a jam-packed itinerary, she’ll always prioritize the important things: “If I have free time in Paris, I like to eat food with friends that I don’t get to see all the time,” she says. “Done plenty of that this trip.”
